Green Business Development Service and Solution Providers Directory

The Green Service and Solution Providers Directory is being built to help decision makers identify firms and people that are green business or green project specialists..

Profitable green goods and services company business plans will be created by people applying unique knowledge, by firms developing and leveraging platform solutions and through interconnecting relationships.

The purpose of the
GreenServices and Solutions Directory is to build a list of people and firms that specialize in working on green goods and services projects. People and companies that provide services and solutions to green goods and services market segments have developed specialist knowledge.  Building a directory of specialists sets-up value propositions that better outcomes can be produced when it is easier for decision makers to connect with people and firms that have experience developing green business models.

Research, surveys and other initiatives will be launched to continue building this unique list of green business development specialists.

Act on extending this value creation proposition by adding your information to the Green Services and Solutions Directory.

Capacity Development for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)   http://cd4cdm.org/
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has launched the project “Capacity Development for the Clean Development Mechanism” with financial support from the Dutch Government. The UNEP Risø Centre (URC) is the supporting organisation contracted by UNEP to implement the project. The project is intended to help to establish GHG emission reduction projects that are consistent with national sustainable development goals, particularly projects in the energy sector. It will develop national capabilities so that persons in the countries are at the project’s conclusion capable of analysing the technical and financial merits of projects and negotiating possible finance agreements with Annex 1 countries or investors.

CarbonFlow   http://www.carbonflow.com/products.php
The Carbonflow™ Suite delivers faster cheaper processes, more transparency, and better quality data. CarbonFlow's solution is based on patent pending cross-organization collaboration engine and eRecord technology. It lets everyone in a project talk with everyone else and keeps a permanent eRecord that stays with the project from inception forward. The technology is designed to meet Kyoto project methodology requirements including registration, verification, certification and monitoring requirements under the Kyoto CDM, JI and ETS compliance mechanisms. It is also suitable for the voluntary and regional compliance markets in the United States and Australia, where it could be applied to create carbon credits which are tradable worldwide. Integrated into the eRecord, CarbonFlow's Carbon Step™ module enables the low cost automation of validation and verification processes. The Carbonflow™ Solution helps project developers drive better financial returns on their GHG reduction project by reducing the administrative burden and increasing the value of higher quality tradable carbon credits.

Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)   http://cdm.unfccc.int/index.html
Clean Development Mechanism. The CDM allows emission-reduction (or emission removal) projects in developing countries to earn certified emission reduction (CER) credits, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2. These CERs can be traded and sold, and used by industrialized countries to a meet a part of their emission reduction targets under the Kyoto Protocol. The mechanism stimulates sustainable development and emission reductions, while giving industrialized countries some flexibility in how they meet their emission reduction limitation targets. The projects must qualify through a rigorous and public registration and issuance process designed to ensure real, measurable and verifiable emission reductions that are additional to what would have occurred without the project. The mechanism is overseen by the CDM Executive Board, answerable ultimately to the countries that have ratified the Kyoto Protocol. In order to be considered for registration, a project must first be approved by the Designated National Authorities (DNA). Operational since the beginning of 2006, the mechanism has already registered more than 1,000 projects and is anticipated to produce CERs amounting to more than 2.7 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalent in the first commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, 2008–2012.
